Becoming Isn’t Always Loud — And That’s Okay

We often associate growth with action, momentum, or big life changes. We think of it as productivity, success, or noticeable transformation. But what if becoming doesn’t always look like progress on the outside? What if the most significant shifts happen beneath the surface?

The truth is, growth doesn’t always announce itself. Sometimes becoming looks like sitting still. It looks like choosing rest over hustle, or silence over striving. It’s the decision to heal, slowly, even when no one claps for it. It’s waking up each day and choosing to stay soft, open, and honest—with yourself, with God, and with the process.

We live in a world that idolizes the “before and after” story—but becoming is everything that happens in between. It’s the mundane, the messy middle, the unseen sacred work that only you and God get to witness. And that’s more than enough.

This month, give yourself permission to grow quietly. To pause. To breathe. To trust the slow, faithful work of transformation that’s unfolding in your life. You don’t have to be loud to be becoming. You just have to be present.

"The kingdom of God is like a mustard seed… though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants." (Matthew 13:31–32)Let your growth be sacred—even if no one sees it yet.
