Peace, beyond our understanding

Let's carry on looking what Ann Goodfellow says in her devotional - The Path of the Pilgrim

Love and faithfulness meet together; righteousness and peace kiss each other

Psalm 85:10

Peace is not just an absence of fear or anxiety, but is much, much more. The peace that God gives brings us into a harmonious relationship with our Lord that puts all things a their rightful place. Peace is not just contentment with our lot in life but is a connection with the peace of God that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7), which reverberates in our soul in accordance with God's purpose.

Peace is living with justice and compassion. Wee look at the world with different eyes. We have a connection to God - a golden thread of love that sustains and completes us! There is no substitute for perfect peace, wihich only God can bestow. Wehn God puts peace in our hearts and banishes all our anxious thoughts, we find calmness within and strenght to face our calamities and not collapse. We are one with our Lord and our God. Peace!

Thank You, Lord, that Your touch of peace enables me to see the world in a different light. It is to know and trust that You are in control and that all things work for tood for those who love You. Amen.
